2020 BEEP Painting Biennial
Launched in 2012, BEEP (biennial exhibition of painting) is a contemporary international painting prize based in Swansea, Wales.
BEEP supports imaginative and vibrant practice in contemporary painting.
BEEP returns on 3rd October – 7th November 2020 with an expanded programme of satellite painting led exhibitions, residencies and symposiums around the main BEEP show in partnership with Swansea and South Wales galleries and arts organisations.
The main Beep Painting Prize exhibition will take place at the new elysium gallery and its next door neighbour Liquid Gallery in Swansea City centre at 210 & 211 High Street.
The main prize is £1000 and a solo exhibition with elysium gallery in 2021. The Friends of the Glynn Vivian will sponsor the Welsh Painter’s Prize and elysium gallery will sponsor the Peoples Prize.
Beep is not-for-profit, artist led project run by elysium gallery
* Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, the Beep Painting Prize exhibition will (hopefully) now take place in October as a part of the Swansea Fringe Festival. All the other Biennial exhibitions will no doubt also be disrupted. Please keep an eye out on our News and Venues sections of this website for ongoing updates.
Stay safe everyone.
